I want at minimum three examples of every, but even a single of each will do! Thank You!

Greatest solution:

Answer by Jub B
Science: We produced medications and new species (banana) we consistently discover new things and put them to use but of training course it is the use and not the discovery that Modifications science since gravity exists whether or not we know about it or not.

engineering: Nicely besides a number of resources utilizing animals we ARE the creators of technology communications, transportation staying two of the largest I can feel of

society: We have increase the potential of groups to assemble from tiny tribes to now big cities due to agriculture and a lot of other aspects. We have created language to talk our feelings and created language and artwork to keep on earlier our fatalities or above length.

Setting: we have been triggering mass extinction considering that we left Africa. We have fished the oceans to in close proximity to extinction, triggered huge algae bloom, acidified lakes, increased the ranges of carbon dioxide and of each synthetic toxin in the environment and up the foodstuff chain.

What do you think? Answer underneath!

If you business has grown exponentially and you are thinking of moving from a shared server to a dedicated server, there are a few factors that you should consider. The amount of work that is required, to manage a business that has such a high volume of business as to necessitate the hosting of the business website on a dedicated server, is a lot. The best option in this case is to look for managed hosting.

Managed hosting is the kind of web hosting where you outsource some or all of the management of your server. This means that all technical aspects of the website are managed by the hosting company. There is no standard as to what managed hosting should be, and this varies greatly from one hosting company to another.

You may not realize the amount of work that is required to manage a dedicated server. Unlike when using shared servers, when you use a dedicated server, you are responsible for every function ranging from installing the operating system, selecting you applications, monitoring the server, dealing with technical emergencies, etc. This is the reason why you should look for managed hosting solutions for your business.

Managed hosting services will allow you to concentrate on the core functions of your business. You can sleep easier at night knowing that there is someone monitoring your website 24 hours a day. When you are dealing with a website that has a lot of traffic, you cannot afford even an hour of downtime due to technical hiccups.

Look through the Internet and find managed hosting service providers who meet your needs. Read through independent review sites and see what other online businesses have to say about each service provider. Ensure that you vet the hosting company thoroughly so your business is in safe hands technically, as you continue to grow.

Electronic gadgets are available in abundance in the market. Every year we have certain new inventions, new gadgets developed and introduced. This year, the International Consumer Electronics Show begun from January 6 to January 9 in Las Vegas gives us glimpses of the latest tech gadgets of many well-known companies, such as Samsung, Asus, Apple, Sony Here are some of the best gadgets coming out.

1. Tablet Frenzy.

Thanks to the success of the iPad, tablets will be the highest-selling consumer electronic devices of the year, Scarsella said, with 40 to 80 new models being introduced at CES. “Apple has had so much success with the original iPad, and consumers want electronics,” he said.

The new Apple iPad 2 is expected to be released between the end of February and early April, and should have two cameras, an SD card slot, HDMI, and will be smaller, he said. Samsung’s Galaxy tablet is the only early competition for the iPad, but others such as Motorola, Asus, Blackberry, HP, HTC, Dell and LG are coming and many will offer new features such as high resolution displays, USB ports and carrier subsidies. Even the bargain TV manufacturer Vizeo is getting into the tablet game, Scarsella said.

2. iPhone.

The white iPhone 4 is scheduled to be released in the spring, and Verizon is expected to add the iPhone to its network with CDMA technology to improve call quality and give iPhone owners a better option than AT&T. To add to that, the iPhone 5 is expected to be released in June, Scarsella said. Wow, cool gadgets!

Read more:

Galaxy Nexus vs iPhone 4S: Specs, Speed and Camera Comparison

3. Windows 7 Phone.

These phones came out in 2010, but more models are coming out, especially if sales of current versions are good, Scarsella said. Success will depend on size and quality of apps in their new app market and new hardware across carriers in the U.S., he said.

4. Internet TV/Streaming Media.

Either via TV or set top box the Internet is coming back to the living room, according to Scarsella. TVs will have fully-integrated apps, features, and Web. “Pretty much TVs are going to have all of the capabilities of a smartphone, but on your wall,” he said. Expect new set-top boxes with Google TV, and other boxes with Android to hit the market in 2011.

Remember the tech gadgets3-D TV? It was a hot topic at CES last year, but paying more than $ 100 for a pair of clunky glasses didn’t really catch on. Manufacturers got the message and this year are coming out with glasses-free 3-D TVs and computer monitors, Scarsella said.

5. Android Phones.

This will be the biggest shaker for 2011, Scarsella said, with the new dual-core powered phones and Android 3.0 Gingerbread for tablets. Such phones are making portable gaming systems such as the Sony PSP obsolete.

6. Cloud Gaming.

While smartphones make gaming cheap — a few dollars instead of $ 30 for a game — the new trend of cloud gaming is picking up fast among gamers, Scarsella said. You don’t have to buy expensive hardware or software because the games are hosted on servers and will give you instant access to tons of titles. Services such as OnLive and Gaikai will steal some spotlight from the newelectronic gadgetsKinect and PS Move in 2011.

Your Time Is Gonna Come

To my constant shame, I dont rate that highly on the Manometer. No, my Man Points are generally pretty low: I dont get excited by fast cars or gadgets. I prefer chocolate to salty snacks. If I want to watch a film with cowboy hats, Ill take Brokeback Mountain over True Grit. I reckon most clothes available in Burton or H&M are generally lacking in delicate fabrics and frilly bits, and, at times, my idea of a perfect evening is sitting down with a book listening to Thomas Newman soundtracks. Yup, the reading on my Man Point Scoreboard is worryingly stark most of the time, to the point where even my own parents have said you know Mark, its really all right if you want to tell us something. Thank God, then, for Led Zeppelin, the most manly of all rock bands. Yes yes yes yes yes I know they owe a tremendous amount to The Yardbirds but thats not the point: the important thing is that anyone who enjoys the beats of Misty Mountain Hop or swung around Gallows Pole has distilled testosterone pumping through their veins. I mean, we all like their quieter moments: Going to California, Thats The Way and the like, but nothing makes you want to put on your tightest spandex and do your best woman-toppling Robert Plant impression like, I dont know… Immigrant Song, Kashmir, or Bring It On Home. Mmm: watch out, watch out now.

So, yes, Zeppelin are high on my list of good bands, and not the least because they give me some mild form of masculine credibility (although, lets face it, if you need to wave Houses of the Holy at people to prove you arent really a very hairy woman, youre in trouble anyway). So, imagine my shock when I heard late last year that the Zeppers are touring without Robert Plant. I mean, what are they thinking? Sure, Black Mountain Side and Moby Dick show that Zeppelin can knock out good tunes without him, but you just know that Plant was simply out making the tea while they were recorded and would be back for vocals on the next track. I can dig the idea of playing without deceased band members if the vast majority of the band is still willing: thats understandable, but to label yourself as the same band when only half of the original line-up is playing simply aint right. Theyre missing too much to really be considered whole, and getting someone else in to replace them isnt a substitute either, dangit.

Alas, Ive also been operating as a mere shadow of what I should be. Ysee, this little corner of virtual real estate that I call my own has been running under the vague guise of a pterosaur website for some time now: people chiefly know it and visit for images and rambly discussion of flying reptiles. Imagine my shame, therefore, for neglecting one of Pterosaurdoms best known weirdos: the Early Cretaceous Argentinean ctenochasmatoid Pterodaustro. Everyone whos ever picked up a pterosaur book knows this critter, having almost certainly stopped at whatever illustration was provided in said tome and uttered something like thats a weird one. Leaving Pterodaustro off the running list of a pterosaur website is like a venue saying theyre hosting The Velvet Underground without Lou Reed or John Cale: its a sham, and one Ive been getting away with for far too long.

So, in a vague attempt to recover some self-respect: what goes on with this Pterodaustro critter, then? Well, its not the worlds biggest pterosaur, growing up to a mere 2.5 m or so across the wings, nor does it bear an overly flamboyant headcrest like some taxa, but, obviously, thats not what makes Pterodaustro a big deal. Nope: what turns heads for Pterodaustro is that it looks like it flew into a broomhair factory with its mouth open: its entire lower jaw is stuffed with incredibly long, bristle-like teeth that are arranged in rows akin to the baleen of modern whales. However, unlike our giant mysticete friends, Pterodaustros mandibular feeding apparatus is comprised of hundreds of genuine teeth with enamel, dentine and a pulp cavity, each one being about a third of a millimetre thick. In fact, there are so many teeth lining the lower jaw of Pterodaustro that they dont have individual sockets: they lie in grooves running along the sides of the jaw. There are shedloads of teeth in the upper jaw, too: but these are small, spatulate things that dont actually have any rooting in the skull whatsoever but are instead attached by some supportive soft tissue. If this werent weird enough, a series of tiny, tiny ossicles small lumps of bone embedded in the skin lie above each one of these. Neat.

Now, the function of these teeth really couldnt be clearer: its plain-as-day that Pterodaustro was some sort of filter-feeder, using its teeth to strain small bits of food from the water column you know, seeds, invertebrates, that kind of thing. Whats not been looked at in detail, at least as far as I know, is how Pterodaustro really did this. Other than their teeth, there are two details of Pterodaustros jaws that are worthy of attention: one is that the retroarticular process, the bony extension of the lower jaw that extends behind the jaw joint, is quite robust and curves downwards, away from the cranium. This suggests that their posterior pterygoideus muscles the big muscles you can see bulging from the side of alligator skulls were probably quite big in Pterodaustro. A big posterior pterygoideus means that Pterodaustro wouldve generated relatively high bite strengths when its mouth was nearly closed: this is a bit weird as pterosaurs seem to generally favour the snappy-actions of jaw adductor musculature over the relatively slow, but more powerful, posterior pterygoideus. On top of this, you have an incredibly long- diagnostically so, in fact and curved jaw. Curved jaws are brilliant if your intention is to bring the entire jaw together along its length simultaneously: you can try this out yourselves by hinging your hands at the wrists and then clapping them together with straight or curved hands everyone see how that works? Good. What this might mean then, dear friends, is that Pterodaustro wasnt simply moving forward through water with its jaws agape, trapping foodstuffs like a pterosaurian shearwater (so-called ram filter feeding): nope, Pterodaustro was probably pumping water through its teeth for its food, with the pumping action provided by that kick-ass posterior pterygoideus and the curvy jaw ensuring that water wasnt just pushed forwards out of the mouth, but was pushed sideways through the teeth (try the same hand experiments in the bath and youll see where Im coming from). Now, we dont know enough about Pterodaustros anatomy to suggest how filtered food was taken off the teeth and moved into the throat, but I guess its possible they had a large tongue that could hold gathered food particles against the upper jaw, where those little-peg-like teeth and ossicles may have helped hold them in place. As in modern geese and swans, the food couldve been moved backwards along the jaw over successive filter cycles, and then swallowed finally when it reached the throat. Well, possibly.

Now, looking beyond the skull of Pterodaustro, its obvious that it was a wading animal like lots of other ctenochasmatoids, in fact with big, broad feet that are almost as long as its shin bones. This, presumably, means it was feeding while standing, and hey check that out its got a long neck like our other favourite potential terrestrial feeding pterosaurs, the the azhdarchids. Is it possible, therefore, that all long-necked pterosaurs liked to feed when grounded? Well, maybe: something to look at in the future, I guess.

Whats more, by golly, Pterodaustro does occur in some abundance. There are, apparently, hundreds of Pterodaustro fossils out there, most of which stem from a site in which theyre so abundant that its been named after them: the Loma del Pterodaustro of Argentina. Presumably, if you travelled back to the Lower Cretaceous and wandered down to this ancient freshwater lake, youd find whole flocks of these guys wading around in the shallows, filter-feeding their little hearts out. Pterodaustro fossils represent a suite of different ages, from embryos right the way up to burly adults, and recent work on this spectrum of differently-aged individuals has shed light on how quickly they grew. Like dinosaurs, Pterodaustro(and presumably other pterosaurs) grew like rocket-fuelled dynamos until they reached approximately two years old about half their full size before their growth rates slowed, taking another three-to-four years to gain their full adult size. Unlike some modern reptiles your crocodiles, turtles and the like - Pterodaustro appears to have had determinate growth (that is, like us, it reached a certain size and then stopped growing altogether), but, like the same modern reptiles, Pterodaustro hit sexual maturity before they finished growing. Sexual maturity seems to coincide with that two year-old benchmark where a switch in bone texture (from fibrolamellar to parallel-fibred, histology fans) suggests that energy is partially redirected from growth to reproduction hence the slow growth from that point on.

So, Pterodaustro is a pretty durned-interesting pterosaur, then, and one that I definitely shouldve covered a long time ago. However, thats not all: oh no. If youre the sort of person who would have a pterosaur as a pet if they werent so inconsiderately extinct then you should stick a pole in the ground, grab some ribbons and have an early May Dance of Joy because pterosaurs are, officially, Fossil Animals of Choice for January. Oh yes: a collection of papers has just been published following the proceedings of the 2007 Munich Wellnhofer Pterosaur Meeting and, by jingo, the Interweb is going crazy about it. Chief party venue is Dave Hones Archosaur Musings, recently voted one of the top 100 Earth Science Blogs on the Net and home of the volumes editor, um, Dave Hone (the giveaways in the blog title, see). The Musings are running a series of blogposts across this week: theres an introduction to Peter Wellnhofer, the Godfather and Don of modern pterosaur research; an essay by yours truly about a paper in which I, along with my ex-PhD supervisor Dave Martill, describe a particularly strange specimen of Tupuxuara that looks like it flew into a wall and an overview of the Chinese istiodactylids, those pterosaurs with muzzle-like jaw tips. Whats more, Mike Habib has recently guest-posted on the musings with his own take on his paper from the volume about how pterosaurs may have taken off using their forelimbs rather than their hindlimbs. Theres some great coverage of this particular story as MSNBC, featuring opinions from Mike himself, Sankaar Chatterjee, noted expert on animal flight, and some hack they found on the internet. Personally, seeing as Mikes been telling the world that he can launch a 250 kg azhdarchid into the air without any problem (well, maybe not him personally, but you know what I mean), Im all in favour of his ideas and am dead-chuffed to have my own work on pterosaur mass estimation sitting side-by-side with Mikes paper in the same volume. Thats all great stuff, then, and should give you plenty to do look at sneakily in your office when your bosses back is turned.

Oh yes, one more thing for those whore still here: this is going to be quick because this mess is already w-a-y over 2,000 words. in fact, Ill do in my best, unpunctuated telegram style of English to save time and words:

[START] picture above is Pterodaustro [STOP] note the size of the feet in the flying critter to the left I told you it was a wader [STOP] avoided pink colour because the flamingo analogy has been done to death [STOP] once had considerably more acid coloured skies but was toned down because it looked too much like the trippy scene at the end of Easy Rider [STOP] i mean, it was cool but too funky to be realistic [STOP] like too much James Brown [STOP] might have messed up the blurring on some animals [STOP] but never mind [STOP] you may not have noticed if i had not brought it up [STOP] own worst enemy [STOP] anyway i need to get on with something else now so will stop typing [STOP] no really my back is hurting from hunching over this keyboard [STOP] am going now [STOP] bye bye [STOP] [END]

Having previously attacked Manchester with a mega tsunami in an aimless Photoshop doodle session, this calamitous sketch was also created in the name of experimentation. It depicts my favourite northern city embroiled in a rather nasty little nuclear conflict. The original panorama shot was taken at dawn from a favourite old photographic location atop a multi-storey car park close to the Arndale Centre. This is a high resolution image, so check it out in full size if your monitor can handle it!

The age of the atom began deep in the darkness of the New Mexico desert on July 16th, 1945, with the detonation of what was known only as "The Gadget". It was a plutonium-based device developed by the scientists working on the Manhattan Project, spurred by fears that Nazi Germany could unlock the apocalyptic puzzle before the western powers. In reality, the top brass of the American military received intelligence during the later stages of WWII that German officials had decided to abandon nuclear research in favour of projects that yielded results within six months. The decision was made, however, not to share this detail with the Manhattan team in case they lost some of their motivation to deliver the weapon.

Throughout their dark and ominous history, nuclear weapons have been detonated on over two thousand occasions for testing and demonstration purposes. With regard to actual warfare, only two nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively - both of them by the United States of America; deployed on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. So it is with a somewhat tainted but entirely commendable gesture that America, under the leadership of Barack Obama, has finally announced a deal with Russia to significantly reduce their nuclear weapons stocks. However, the deal still allows both sides to possess an arsenal of 1,550 warheads, which is comfortably enough to eradicate civilisation as we know it. Thankfully, the great super-powers have matured beyond the paranoid mentalities of the cold war and we are unlikely to see any of the full scale radioactive hostilities which at one time seemed worryingly plausible. Nuclear power can be a powerful force for good as well as evil - indeed, it has the potential to save billions of lives by becoming our primary power source as the remaining fossil fuel resources begin their slow but inevitable decline.

There is a good strategy namely sticking with the winners. It operates for every single subject and in each and every portion of existence and most critical even when you obtain a thing. Best brands and excellent goods have great track record simply because they are just good. A single of the recent winners in the levels of competition of new media is the Internet TV. But how can we define if Internet TV is a good a new technology, that it is a winner amongst new varieties of entertainment? Simple the advertising and marketing is the crucial.

Winston Churchill as soon as mentioned that generals are usually getting ready for the war that presently finished. But not in case of advertising, these generals that currently employing World wide web &amp Tv as their major platforms and shortly will do their finest to occupy the interactive Tv and Internet TV. They goal at the future and this is a excellent signal for Internet TV. 1st of all this means a lot more earnings which will guide to the enhancement of functionality and improvement of top quality.

But how come that they are so fascinated in this new format?

Let’s examine the rewards of internet TV in comparison to analog Tv making use of a soccer video game as an instance. If you view the match on analog Tv you will confront subsequent difficulties: first of all you may well miss some component of the video game because of to some issues, second you have to view tons of promoting and when there is an interesting moment you can’t instantaneously observe it 1 far more time, in addition to this if you want to re-watch the sport, you have to either down load} (if it is readily available on the web) or wait around for a rebroadcast. If we take electronic Tv you can first of all skip the advertising and marketing, then report the match and observe any component of it at any minute. A possibility to document a motion picture that is simultaneously broadcasted on some other channel is also obtainable.

Lastly if you have interactive Tv you will also be ready to verify for data about the gamers, the group and the all round championship stats a view from various cameras is readily available for the most hardcore fans. Now this it what I call Tv 2.. Or program some individuals might be aware that this has some sort of a intimate old-Tv feeling, but this can hardly address the disappointment of lacking an exciting second because you had to answer a cellphone phone.

In addition to this Internet TV is a genuine problem for advertising. One of the major rewards of electronic Tv is that you can skip marketing, which indicates that new methods ought to be located to promote a item. Product positioning is one of the solutions one more is inserting adverts as additional symbols in the corner of the display. While we speak it is really previously occurring. This yr for the very first time in history the advertising and marketing money spent on interactive Television in the Uk was greater than money spend on analogue Television advertising and marketing. This is the 1st indicator and a starting of a new era for tv!

Luckily nowadays there are numerous ways to get World wide web Tv and one of them is KPN, the primary provider if this wonderful new tv services in Netherlands. A lot more than a million buyers assure that!

my things with Mike’s right after hitchiking in 30 below from the prepare station to meet up with him at the airport terminal.

Trucks like monoliths, grumbling gods to some kind of travel prepare, the sort of yellow coated maps you only purchase in gasoline stations. Row upon row, headlights as large as our heads, snow gritty with gravel, working to skid on the ice, arms silently flung out for harmony like sweatershirt wings. We walked through them changed from grown ups into young children by sheer scale. Devices built by hands like ours, but unimaginable as only a selection of elements, a warehouse of nuts, bolts, and aluminium siding. Machines that growled, spit smoke, carried worlds in their bellies and dwarfed us, our chilled faces, our frozen laughter. The way I wished to kiss him there, among the automobiles, in between background, but did not.

Crunching white footprints primary back again to the hotel and I nonetheless would not do up my coat.

My journey to Alberta was like a trip to Canada, too. It felt like time journey. Vancouver is hot winters, substantial heels in December, ocean sunsets, miniature dogs, Kitsilano graphic designer vegetarians with tans, fake nails, and eight phrase espresso orders. Twenty 4 hour net cafes lined with significant younger men with short hair, Mac laptop computers, and Clark Kent eyeglasses, planning on functioning in video clip video games, dreaming of really going to Japan.

I have been anti-social given that returning, picking my organization with superb treatment, unwilling to give up my time away. My trip spoiled me with inspiration, with business, with care. The people I went to see place me back on my toes, lifted me from myself and gave me new course. As we drove to the airport terminal, he held my hand, and I gave him directions that integrated I was quite. I worry that if I give myself back to Vancouver, I will eliminate the complicated flavor of these memories, that they will flatten and get with them that treasured ice edge of rediscovery that we so sweetly cast together. The cloud devices, the black sticks of prairie hearth licking the sky. How terrible to fade, to disintegrate like a chalk-drawing photograph left out in the rain.
